China, located in the east of Asia, boasts the world’s oldest continuous civilization, and with a population of over 1.3 billion, it is home to one fifth of the world’s people. Often referred to by those who live there as “Zhongguo”, meaning “Middle Kingdom” or “Central Country” the Chinese language is separated into many different variations and used throughout Europe and America today.

A founding member of NATO, France is a permanent member of the United Nations, and one of only seven acknowledged nuclear powers to exist. The government of France retains great influence over infrastructure as it currently holds the majority ownership of electricity, aircraft, railway and even telecommunication firms. It attracts 77 million tourists a year and is therefore considered the largest tourism country in the world.
